Refund Policy

The guarantee

Every purchase is covered for 30 days from order completion — 30 days from when your order is confirmed, not from when you install or activate anything. If the software is not what you needed, tell us inside that window and we refund you in full.

You do not have to justify it. Telling us what went wrong helps us, but the refund does not depend on your answer.

Asking for one

Email support@myprentice.be from the address the licence was issued to, or quote your Paddle order reference. We acknowledge within two business days and pass it to Paddle, our merchant of record, who returns the money to whatever you paid with. How long it then takes to show up is your bank's business, but usually a few working days.

What happens to your licence

A refunded licence key stops working. We want to be exact about how, because it is not instant.

Revocation works by adding the key to a list compiled into the software itself. That list reaches an installation when the software next updates, which is automatic but not immediate. So there is a period after a refund where the key still works. We would rather say that than claim a cut-off we cannot actually deliver.

Data our software already produced for you is not removed. We do not reach into your systems. Once revocation takes effect the software stops doing new work and says so; what it already wrote stays where it is.

Renewals

Each renewal gets its own 30-day window, running from that renewal's order completion. You can cancel a subscription at any time to stop the next one. Cancelling does not by itself refund a payment already taken, but if that payment was inside the last 30 days the guarantee above still applies.

Free tiers

Where a product has a free tier there is nothing to refund, since there is nothing to pay. You can stay on it as long as you like before deciding.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU, this guarantee is on top of your statutory rights, including the right of withdrawal. It does not replace them.
